Nintendo DS Lite accessories.

While searching different avenues for accessories for a Nintendo DS Lite I was blown away by what is available if desired.

Obviously there are the huge number of games available which have usually been reviewed to death on the internet and in magazines, but what I am amazed about is the extras that I do not need but after seeing them am not sure if I could survive without them.

I will start with the one accessory that every serious DS Lite game addict should not be without.

Scenario: You are on a plane heading off on business and the movie is rubbish so you pull out your DS Lite in the hope of alleviating some boredom, only to discover that it is out of charge and your charger is in your bag in the cargo hold of the plane. Not that there would be anywhere to plug it in anyway, so out comes the emergency charger.

This handy device runs on four batteries and as soon as it plugged in your DS starts working so there is no waiting for it to charge and you can avoid communicating with the person seated next to you with the slight personal hygiene problem.

The next most important item in my opinion is a protective case of some sort, simply put your console is a delicate piece of electronic equipment and will not react kindly to being dropped or sat on, there is a huge variety of cases on the market to suit all tastes and budgets. Invest in one it will hopefully save some heartache in the future.

A microfiber cleaning cloth is useful to have so that your screen can be kept clean and free from scratch causing dust. Basically anything that will keep your console in premium condition has to be good on all counts.

You may also want a spare stylus, these are remarkably cheap to purchase but having a spare one will save you from reaching for the nearest ball point pen or toothpick.

Next up are the products that can be used to personalize you DS, mentioned above was the protective case. These are available in a huge range of colours and designs, plastic or metal. There are leather ones and even knitted cases and cases that are like a sock.

The one product that I love is the range of stickers that can be purchased for a reasonable price that can completely change the look of your console. The options are only restricted by your imagination and for around $10.00 they can be changed as often as you change your lifestyle.

The vinyl stickers go on easily and when removed do not leave behind any sticky residue on your console. Stay away from paper ones as they will leave a mess. The range as mentioned is endless. From cartoons to movie themes, animal skins to water and bubbles.
